RETASTE 2025: Rethinking Food Resources, Losses, and Waste

The DRIFT-FOOD project is pleased to announce its participation in the 5th International Conference RETASTE 2025: Rethinking Food Resources, Losses, and Waste, held from 24 to 27 September 2025 in Athens, Greece.

Members of the DRIFT-FOOD consortium contributed to the scientific programme through the following oral presentations:

  • Development of Emulsions Using Ultrasound-Treated Edible Insect Protein Isolate
  • Ultrasound-Treated Brewer’s Spent Grain (BSG) Used to Partially Substitute Wheat Flour in Pasta Formulation
  • Apple Pomace from Byproduct to a Resource: Oil Extraction and Effect of Extraction Conditions on Polyphenol Recovery and Antioxidant Capacity

These presentations reflect the project’s commitment to advancing innovative and sustainable approaches to food production, valorisation of byproducts, and reduction of food losses and waste.

Participation in RETASTE 2025 provides an important opportunity to disseminate DRIFT-FOOD research results, exchange knowledge with the international scientific community, and strengthen collaborations in the field of sustainable food systems.
