IFW 2026: Insects to Feed the World Conference

DRIFT-FOOD Researchers Presenting Latest Research at IFW 2026

  • The DRIFT-FOOD research team participated in the International Conference Insects to Feed the World (IFW 2026), held in Torino, Italy, from 8–12 June 2026. As the leading international conference on insects for food and feed, IFW brings together researchers and industry experts to discuss the latest scientific and technological developments in the sector.

    Representing the project, Dr. Diana Baigts-Allende, ERA Chair Holder, and Dr. Ali Kozlu, Junior Researcher, delivered two oral presentations:

    • Development of Corn-Based Extruded Snack Enriched with Lesser Mealworm FlourDr. Ali Kozlu
    • Tenebrio molitor Larvae as a Sustainable Alternative for Developing Nutritious BeveragesDr. Diana K. Baigts-Allende

      The presentations showcased DRIFT-FOOD’s ongoing research on sustainable, insect-based food innovations and provided an opportunity to disseminate project results and engage with the international research community.
