DRIFT-FOOD Research on Food By-Product Valorisation Accepted for Presentation at RETASTE Conference
We are happy to announce that abstracts of three DRIFT-FOOD Team members were accepted for RETASTE Conference to take place in Rethymno, Greece, in September 16-18, 2026.
The first abstract entitled “Valorisation of apple pomace seed oil: Effect of the use of pulsed electric fields on oil recovery and oil functional properties.” that was submitted by Sandra Teresita Martin del Campo, DRIFT-FOOD Senior Researcher, was accepted for In-person Oral presentation in session NOV: Novel materials from food resources.
The second abstract entitled “Pulsed electric field (PEF) and Ultrasound (US) assisted extraction of bioactive compounds from brewers\’ spent grain (BSG)” that was submitted by Alexa Pérez Alva, DRIFT-FOOD Junior Researcher, was accepted for In-person Oral presentation in session NOV: Novel materials from food resources.
The third abstract entitled “Valorisation of Apple Pomace Pectin Through Tailored Acid Hydrolysis: Structural Characterisation and Application in Gummy Candies” that was submitted by Ali Kozlu, DRIFT-FOOD Junior Researcher, was accepted for In-person Poster presentation in session NOV: Novel materials from food resources.
