Glycoscience Conference in Prague
DRIFT-FOOD team members and PhD students took part in 19th International Conference on Polysaccharides-Glycoscience held in Prague in November 8-10, 2023, presenting the results of their research.
Dr. Klojdová paper focuses on the use of polysaccharides in the emulsion technology, while Dr. Taskin’s poster summarizes physical properties and antioxidant activity of sodium alginate-based edible films incorporated with kombucha.
PhD students – Nujamee Ngasakul, Ali Kozlu and Abdul Muiz – each presented their work on recovery of bioactive compounds from brewer spent grains using deep eutectic solvent extraction; development of chitosan films from edible lesser mealworms; and pickering o/w emulsions stabilized by brewer’s spent grain respectively.”
