DRIFT-FOOD PhD Students Awarded SGC Grant

The DRIFT-FOOD PhD students, with Ali Kozlu as the main researcher, have been awarded SGC Grant in Student Grant Competition for the year 2024 announced by the Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and Natural Resources at the Czech University of Life Sciences.  The grant is focused on their two-year project entitled “Valorization of Byproducts from the Food Industry,” which aims to utilize underutilized biomass from the food industry as functional ingredients for food products development.

The Student Grant Competition is an internal tender announced every year with the main goal to support independent experimental work of students of doctoral study programs and the support of collaboration of academic staff and students of master’s programs.”
