Invited Lecture at SPARK 2026

Dr. Bakht Ramin Shah, DRIFT-FOOD Senior Researcher, was an invited speaker at SPARK 2026, an academic enrichment programme organized by Bahria University College of Medicine (BUMDC), Pakistan. On June 11, 2026, during Week 2 of the programme, he delivered an online lecture on the encapsulation of bioactive compounds and its relevance to the development of novel functional foods and nutraceuticals for metabolic diseases.

Dr. Shah explained the scientific principles underlying bioactive compound encapsulation and demonstrated how this technology can improve the stability, bioavailability, and targeted delivery of health-promoting compounds, supporting the development of next-generation functional foods and nutraceuticals.

Dr. Shah’s participation in SPARK 2026 highlights the continued commitment of DRIFT-FOOD Research Centre at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague to international academic collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the dissemination of food science research.
